will I was wondering if there is anyway that i can just plug my cable to my computer and waitch the TV on my computer monitor. if there is a way. what are the things that i need? and how do i do it?

Yes.

My Pinnacle PCTV-PRO works great, It let's me capture media in MPEG1/2 & DivX.

Check out ATI's All-in-Wonder series cards. They offer the ability to watch tv, record (like Tivo), and even schedule a recording. They even come with a remote control.

plus with the right software you should be able to get the same fetures are sky+. Such as pausing tv for later viewing

But they make crummy drivers too :p I know i had a hell of a time with mine hehe

Depending on what you're trying to do, you can also connect a filtered video source to the CRT directly via BNC connectors :)
