Is this possible?

The only way I have heard of this is two router's. Like get a N rated router for the primary and then a G rated router for the others.
 
Yes a cantenna would work. I've used one myself and theyb are highly directional :) You'd need the can to be on the router though.

Amoterh DIY cantenna is to put one on your reciever and aim it at the router, seems to boost the signal if it's weak.
 
yea...just a bit of math and tutorials...go hunting for stuff, im sure you can turn it up, but dont use a pringles can...coffee can works best...or maybe a soup can, just lob off the lip if you do a coffee can...made that mistake myself, makes the antenna useless
 
I think you guys are misinterpreting. He's talking about bandwidth, not the actual signal itself. To be able to allow certain computers to get a larger portion of the bandwidth you would need to special type of router to do this, or have a sever that is configured to do it.
