last night my power supply blew up so i need a new one, after a day of looking around in nearby computer shops and online shops i have come up with this:

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/850W-Corsair-TX-Series-ATX-4x-PCI-E-8x-SATA-PS-2-PSU-5-Year-Warranty

I turst corsair hugely and i know 850W is more than enough for my system so there is alot of room for upgradeing my system without the need to upgrade my PSU, it is the value that i am wondering about, is it a good deal?

And please remember if you show me a site with the product from america that costs $100, the product may be cheaper (after conversion) but then i have $30 P&P slapped on because i live in the UK

It's a good unit, but what are you going to run on it. Unless it's like a quad-SLI system, that power supply is probably going to be an overkill.

I know it's overkill, I'm not going to buy a unit which is on the edge of my system now so that a couple months from now when i upgrade some of my hardware i have to buy another PSU all over again.

With a 5 year warranty in that time quad video card will probably be the norm for performance computers, so it will easily last that long
