is this processor any good?

From the OP I am guessing you are getting a prebuilt or a used computer.

Some extra information will help.Like your budget and also the link to the entire build.
 
will it do it, yes. will yo be waiting around for it to do it, yes. Its a really old CPU. Even a sempron AM3 would be faster than it.
 
basically my old mb usb ports broke so i got this MS-718 as a temp replacement it came wth the above processor for £10 so was it worth it and will it allow me to run itunes, windows live messenger + chrome at the same time for just casual browsing no vids games ect?

If the software side of your computer is properly maintained then you won't have any problem.
I mean free of malwares and viruses etc etc.
