is this really a virus?

ok AVG said before that I had obfustat.asf virus and I heard that avg was just messed up but they fixed it in the latest update err something. So I restored the file and now avg says its infected again so is it really a virus if it has that extension? I've seen people talk about .vg and stuff but never asf so I really am confused.

download another antivirus to check if it really is a virus, u really cannot rule out that possibility.

yeah ill probably do that...the computer runs fine when I heal it so I guess as long as my pc runs fine and its gone there is nothing to worry about...i hope

thts cool , u can use avast! antivirus or Avira to virus scan ur pc, i hav noticed tht these detect even minor macro viruses

I use avg its pretty good too...except when they mess up and you can't tell if its a virus or the anti-virus.

yea, i still hav avg , but i use avast! on my laptop its pretty cool , avira isnt bad either... it picks up viruses which are *sumtimes* not detected by avast

is avg still detecting the virus? mayb u shud upgrade the virus database?
