Is this really the best in the world, right now?

I've been browsing Alienware, and, just for fun, been trying to tweak all the specs of a custom desktop PC as high as they will go.

I was disappointed by the maximum configuration. I mean, it's nothing I can afford, but I would expect a configuration that is supposed to be the best in the whole wide world, in 2010, to be significantly better. I looked on eBay, and the biggest set-ups I could find, even there, had these specs.

Here's the spec sheet. Is this really the best of the in the world, right now?

Operating System:
Genuine Windows® 7 Ultimate, 64bit, English

CPU
Overclocked Intel® Core™ i7 980x Extreme Six Core Processor (4.0GHz, 12MB Cache)

Video Cards:
Dual 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 CrossfireX™ Enabled

RAM
12GB Triple Channel 1600MHz DDR3

Hard Drive
2TB RAID 1+0 (4x 1TB SATA-II, 7,200 RPM, 32MB Cache HDDs)

Second Hard Drive
2TB RAID 1 (2x2TB SATA-II, 7,200 RPM, 32MB Cache HDDs)

Media
19-in-1 Media Card Reader

Disk drive
Single Drive: Blu-ray Disc (BD) Burner (Writes to DVD/CD/BD)

Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium

Keyboard
Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution

Mouse
Alienware TactX™ Mouse

The best would have dual 6 core xeons, 24+GB of ram, quad GTX580, a large SSD array, etc.

Dual Hex-core Intel cpus (overclocked to, say, 3.8+ Ghz)
48GB DDR3 memory
Quad Sli Nvidia GTX 580 graphics cards
1200 watt power supply
Large SSDs in a RAID array
Large 2TB or 3TB drives for storage
everything watercooled

if you custom build, you'll get more for your money, higher quality components, and besides, it's a whole lot of fun! What are you looking to do with the computer? What's your budget?

I don't know how to build it, myself, and I don't want to make a mistake.

Tell you what: Give me a list of all the parts that I would need, and then, I'll take it to an expert and have him build it.

For example, I assume that this would probably be the best RAM to use:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0231392&cm_re=48GB_ram-_-20-231-392-_-Product

Notice, 48GB, twelve ram sticks at 4GB each, which is picture perfect for that motherboard.

Now, fill up the rest of this motherboard, and give me the biggest, baddest son of a b*tch that you can pull out of the depths of hell! Cost is no object

what are you going to use this for?

I'm going to jizz into it.

This isn't a true, serious endeavor. It's more for funzies.

But, if I were to do it, I'd want this thing to do everything, from the simplest of email and networking, to the highest definition of video (streaming, downloading, burning, you name it), to the biggest and baddest games, with frame rates that will make even the professional gamers of the MLG (Major League Gaming) jealous.
