basically your saying that you have all the settings on max in DX7 mode. When in DX9 mode there are more options to turn up. I can get hella high frames in DX7 mode, because it turns the graphics way down. I used to run DX7 mode with everything on high with my old X300, as you can see a little bit down this page: http://www.computerforum.com./showthread.php?t=21659&page=4

ok i took some of dx7 mode of and it wasnt bad u guys were right i got around 12 frames a second on max 10/7 res and i found out from the guy at worck that he lays on dx7 mode anyway il be upgrading in a mont and a half i was planing on buyign the video card later i then realised my old comp had a agp card so i got a 6600 that was all i coudkl afford i was thinking of getting 2 7600 in sli or a 7800gtx i know the 2 7600gt in sli is beter then one 7800gtx it will come to about teh same price i have looked in to it the 2 7600 gt are about 30 more then one 7800gtx and how do u post images
