Hi i'm a 13yr Old OCER
And i just wanted to know if this setup is right or not?
I'm Trying to keep this setup low budget so i dnt want the most expensive parts ......I just want it to be able to overclock good and stay cold

This what i have at home so far:

Thermaltake Matrix W/430W PSU
Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX
1Gb OCZ 667 System Elite Ram
Geforce 7100gs 256mb PCI-ex (using existing...upgrading later)
Western Digital 320Gb HDD

Need to Buy:
E6300 or E6320
Gigabyte GA-965 S3 , DS3 or DS3P which one is good for low budget and will do the job?

Please offer any suggestions and if this setup is alright???

Thanks in Advance

Looks like a decent system, but if your a gamer, then don't get that card, even if you will upgrade later. For not much more money you could get a higher end 6 series or x700/x800, which would actually let you game.

I would also go with the E6320 because the price is almost the same, but you get twice the L2 cache.

And from an overclocking stand point, the 965 DS3 is the best choice.

The 7100gs is a card that my friend had given me......awhile ago
Can u recommend me to some good high end cards that arent too expensive??

You could get a 7900GS or a 7950GT, they are excellent cards.

If you want a great GPU, get an 8800, they may be too expensive though.

umm

Thermaltake Matrix W/430W PSU
Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX<-------- dont bother right now, u wont get resultsyou want with that vid card
1Gb OCZ 667 System Elite Ram <---- actually pretty cheap
Geforce 7100gs 256mb PCI-ex (using existing...upgrading later)
Western Digital 320Gb HDD<---- why u need so much storage?

Need to Buy:
E6300 or E6320 <------- get a 4300, just lower fsb for a higher oc, same thing except u cant dual boot windows and mac... LOL
Gigabyte GA-965 S3 ! :)

if you can scrape some money together for a cheaper 8600 gt or 7900 gs that would be great. u wont waste ur time saving

Thermaltake Matrix W/430W PSU - Better power supply? Dont use it if it came with the case
Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX - Got any thermal paste for it? AS5 is recommended
1Gb OCZ 667 System Elite Ram - Maybe 1 GIG more RAM? Depends on operating system too.
Geforce 7100gs 256mb PCI-ex (using existing...upgrading later) - depends on your gaming.
Western Digital 320Gb HDD - IDE or SATA?

Get a better PSU
The Big typhoon is okay, but not great.
2GB of Ram doesn't cost much more. Might as well get DDR2-800 instead, preferably 4-4-4-12 or close.
You could stick with that 7100 for a while. If you want a great graphics card, the X1950XT is great, though it is DX9

Get the 6320, or you could stick with the 4300. The 6320 would, in my opinion, be worth it for the extra cache. If you want a quad core processor, you could wait for the price drop in August.

The DS3 will be good, though if you could get this, it would be even better, since is is the new P35 chipset.

Would The CoolerMaster eXtreme 430W or the Antec Earth Watts 380W be okay to use for a psu on this setup???? I am assuming this setup wont be needing alot of power and i dnt want to spend too much coz i dnt have much money for a high end psu

Thermaltake Matrix W/430W PSU - As said get a better PSU.
Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX - Won't be useful with the current GPU.
1Gb OCZ 667 System Elite Ram - Faster memory and more of it, you'll need it.
Geforce 7100gs 256mb PCI-ex - Perhaps upgrade later on to a 8600GT?
Western Digital 320Gb HDD - Get a Seagate Barracuda 320Gb for ~80$ instead or two Barracuda 250Gb for ~120$, they usually have better performance and they have longer warranty.

Need to Buy:
E6300 or E6320 - E6320 with a DS3 (out of those mobos).

Western Digital 320Gb HDD<---- why u need so much storage?

You wouldn't believe how easily you can fill up a HDD even just with games nowadays, since they tend to take up about 7-10Gb. And I fill it up even faster since I record music so that takes up quite a bit. :P

You won't survive on anything less than 500, especially if you are overclocking. Look at spending in the 75+ range for a PSU.
