Is this the right move for upgrading?

I'm going to upgrade my rig. (MO-BO,CPU,GPU,PSU). I'm planning to change my mo-bo,gpu and psu first. I'm planning to upgrade to the AMD Athlon X2 5000+ Black Edition and get a 700w PSU, or is 700w overkill? I'm going to change my 512mb stick to a 1gb stick so i'll have 2gb or ram. GPU i'm choosing a 7900GT/7950 or a 8800GT if i have the cash for it. So, is CPU,MOBO and PSU a right move to upgrade first and i'll stick with my crap 7300 for a while. I'm saving up money but i'm not yet near my goal.

thanks in advance guys!:)

"Black Edition" is crap. Just get an regular one, or an Intel Core 2 Duo. PSU will need upgrading if less than 450W... 700W would be overkill yes.. 2GB... DDR2-800 2GB Corsair XMS2 is $41 after rebates at newegg...

Get an ATI 3850 (equivalent to the 8800)...

aryt. i'll get a normal 5000+. i'm sticking with AMD.

once i upgrade and still have a crap 7300GS, my games will have better FPS, right? image detail will still look the same to what i get now?

Depends on what type of game. Example, an 7300GS would give poor performace on higher end games. But if you only upgrade slightly, that might not give such an boost. I'd suggest an 8800GT/ATI 3850/8600GTS/7950...

Budget for the GFX?

i knew that. lol. i play Half Life 2, Flatout 2 and NBA Live 08 on High-Max settings. And i played Bioshock and DiRT on Low/Med settings.

still don't have a budget. my birtdhay's next month and i'll be getting cash which i can buy the CPU, MOBO and PSU already. i'm still saving up for the GPU, i really want a 7950 as i don't have any intentions to upgrade to vista.
