Is this Windows XP?

As a student I was able to purchase a copy of Windows XP for only $15, but all it is is one CD that says Licensing on it. Is this all I need for Windows XP? Just stick it in the CD-Drive and let it go?

Is it possible that you could post a picture of the CD on here, also where did you buy this CD from, a shop, a mate, a stranger?

youll have to put it in the cd drive in order to find out what it really is...

just make sure your antivirus program is updated and running... :)

Yes, but surely a Windows XP Installion CD whould not just say Licensing on it. Mine sure as hell didn't it was full of writing and had a big "WINDOWS XP" written on it.

why are you asking this - surely u should just put it in your drive and try. if youre buying off a reputable seller then of course it will work. yes there are student versions of xp available, but they probably have limited features. where did you get your copy from?

OEM or retail, should be look somewhat like Hellbreather said. If you got this thing for 15$, can you tell us if it's a burned cd?, or does it look manufactured?, when you put it in your machine, a wizard should show up, what does it ask you to do?

If a Windows XP installion wizard does not auto-start do not trust it. Also if it burned it's either copied or illegal so do not install it as it will not work.

I bought it from the tech center and after placing it in the CD-ROM the install wizard started and its the real thing. I never figured that that would work, but hey I guess it does.
