Is Vista Worth It?

Is Vista Worth DirectX 10?
I want to include Vista in my next build so I can play games that require directX 10 and put two 8800GT's in SLI.
Anything else that would make Vista more worth it?
 
You should search and read through the 100s of threads that already exist and explain the pros and cons of vista.

I think the mods should just make one official thread so we don't have 100s of more of these pop up every week.

i think its funny how things go on in here! like i know better than you rubish....

i know better for me and that is the way it is and i like vista and xp but i prefer vista, dont know really why it just makes me smile pmsl...
 
I think if you have a strong computer and you're a gamer, Vista is great for it. Read the pros and cons anyway if you want it...
 
Once yr pc has

A Pentium D 3.00GHz
2Gb ram
120gb for the os and all the files yr adding or more
A Nvidia 7xxx Series or ATI 16xx or greater with 512mb of ram for the vista aero you should go fine. Mine runs the beast check my sig for details

I agree, except its more of a fact versus an opinion and people confuse the two. You prefer vista, thats fine and its your choice, but when threads like this come up and people are looking for factual information all they get is opinionated biased answers with no actual real world facts to back any thing up.

hence the misinformation comment, and it wasn't directed at anybody in particular.

4GB RAM
8800ULTRA

My next computer.
