ISO file problems?

I am backing up some DVD's with my new external HD.

A few days ago I used DVD Shrink and made ISO files.

Today I did the same thing but there are 6 files for each disk instead of 1 ISO file. The files say " MDS File" and then I00, I02, I03, I04, I05

I am burning them and it seems to be going ok except that instead of a 30-40 minute burn, it is up to 50 minutes and not done.

If I am using Shrink for ISO file, why are there 6 files like this?

It's just a sequence of files, the program you're using does it like that. The MDS is the catalog file, burn this, it has all the information on what to do with the I00 extension files. There is then the .MDF file (or .I00 files) that make up the actual image.

You can just keep the files on the HDD, then use Daemon tools to create a virtual drive to mount the .MDS file.

Thanks for the help. I just burned all 6 files and it turned out good but it took 1 1/2 hours. I want to save all my files so should I save all 6?
