Isp usb problem

Im currrently trying to set up internet using blueyonder via usb, as thee ethernet cable is already in use and i would like to use the usb cable supplied. problem is...

when i start the whole instalation process, it tells me i have to use the ethernet cable but thats already in use. does anyone know what to do or where im going wrong? thanks in advance

do you only have the one ethernet port?
the blueyonder setup disk can be tricky sometimes, you have to restart the installation with nothing connected anywhere, then when it tells you turn the modem on and connect the USB/Ethernet.

ive tried to do it with the ethernet also and that didnt work. should i just start the whole process again?
