Issue with front-panel USB ports

Anything I plug into my front panel USB ports immediately causes a message to pop up saying "USB hub power exceeded!"

Thing is, I'm not using a USB hub. The rear (mobo) USB ports work fine, but my front case ones are acting funny.

Is it the same if you switch which header the front panel is plugged into on the motherboard?

Probably have a short in the one of the ports, since case usb's frequently go bad.

I think I just figured it out, I noticed my memory card reader plugged into my front port has two of the CF pins touching from where they got bent before.
