issue with ms office 2003

I'm running Windows Xp as my operating system. Recently i have installed Office 2007 on my pc, but i'm not satisfied with the way Office 2003 works. So i went to my Control Panel and tried to delete it . When i try to click on Add and Remove programs and tried to delete it, it showed me an error message that there is a missing file and i need to reinstall the program to re-delete it. I don't have the Office 2007 set up disc with me, so i tried to delete the files by going in to the Programs files, but after deleting it from my programs files its still showing me in the Programs Files. Can any body help me out to resolve this issue? Does any one knows how do i remove it from my pc? Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Your description isn't very clear. Uninstalling software involves more than deleting the files from the hard drive. It means removing the registrey entries as well. I can't tell you what caused your problem but I can tell you that you need to use the uninstall function in the control panel to get the job done. Otherwise it is a matter of manually searching the registry and deleting entries - something I wouldn't recommend you do.

I skipped 2003 entirely. I used 2000 for years and I started using 2007 only a couple of months ago. 2007 certainly operates differently and presents a learning curve but it certainly is powerful. I can't believe some of the things the new Excel can do. Why not reinstall 2007 and spend the time to get past the learning curve?

At this point you'll need to reinstall both programs in order to uninstall each of them properly.

Never, NEVER, delete files from your Program Files folder. Always use "Add/Remove Programs" from the control panel as already suggested.

Same goes for the Windows folder.
