I have a HP Pavilion g6-1344ea laptop, last week the HDD started clicking so i ordered a new ocz vertex plus 240gig SSD. Got windows 7 x64 back on and all registered with microsoft after a phone call and all working great. This was on monday, since the install i have come into a few new issues tho.
1, being it now runs alot hotter, before idle temps was around 45-47oc now its showing 56-60oc. obv this affects working temps to. 50% load temp is up as high as 72-75oc, the laptop is red hot now.
2, usb charging in standby, before with the old hdd installed i plugged my iphone in and put lappy to sleep and it would charge nps, now when in sleep mode it stops charging.
i have tried the - power options, change plan, advanced settings, usb, suspend = disabled to no avail, plus there is no option in the bios for s3,s1 or any sleep mode etc. so thinking its gotta be a O/S problem??
all drivers all installed and upto date, plus all the HP extra software to.
any ideas would be great, thanks
