Issues with 780Ti SC

Purchased the FX9590 and 780Ti SC

Nothing appears on my monitor and there is a red light under the GPU

I have a 750w corsair power supply

I'm currently powering the graphics card with 6 pin and 8 pin I was using for my previous card.

Ok it appears the red light was from something else

I got it to work but now it's stuck at press F2 for bios and a red light stuck on for boot device on mobo

Everything sorted had to update bios then install drivers for card

But now my computer is freezing when playing euro truck simulator
- haven't overclocked anything
- only changed settings in game
- 10-20 minutes it freezes

So frustrating having these issues with a £500 card, ridiculous

Download MSI Afterburner from here and install

What are your temperatures at idle and when playing?

Also, where did you get your drivers from and what version?

at idle around 30, when playing goes to around 80

downloaded drivers from nvidia site, the latest non beta versions

things i've tried:
uninstalled every video card driver i had
done a fresh install of the drivers from nvidia
uninstalled everything on my PC i don't use
updated bios for sabertooth 990fx
tried in 2 different 16x slots on mobo

nothing is overclocked, everything running as standard straight out the box

CPU is the 9590 running with a h110 water cooler

RAM is new - was working with old gpu

freezing even when im just watching streams on twitch, freezes during games.. tried grid, euro truck and bioshock

Ensure you have the latest BIOS for your REVISION! There are multiple.

If that doesn't work, replace the old CPU and see if it still has issues. The 9590 is not on the CPU supported list for that motherboard.

i'll try that but it does say its compatible with my motherboard, this is literally the top of the range motherboard for AMD CPU's.. stupid if that is the problem..

so it turns out the 9590 had bent pins for some reason, if i was to straighten them up successfully should it work? games still froze when i done that.

put the 8350 back in my pc and everything works fine now

maybe i do need a better power supply to support both the 9590 and GTX 780Ti

According to the link special thermal is required because of the high TDP, doesn't really give any more details. What power supply are you using?

They are recommending 700-750 watts for the 780ti and 9590. So you should be good unless the psu is out of specs. Can you check voltages?

nah i don't have anything to check it

i think ill buy a 1000W power supply next week, just annoying that i have blue sleeved cables gonna be hard to find a power supply to use them with

The bent cpu pins are likely to be the issue. The Corsair PSU is more than sufficient. Please completely update your sig to reflect the hardware we're considering, it saves a lot of time, thanks
