PSU blew on me today when playing Halo. Pop! Around 1 year old... How could this PSU not hold this system??? Any recommendations?

No smoke, you can usually smell the burnt silicon.... I had one pop on me one time and it went out like a firecracker. I jumped back 3ft.

Well I got it working now... either overheating or something.. but POP should mean death.. right?

i wouldnt risk continuing using it just incase something happens again but this time it takes other components with it:cool:

i would replace it mate.

The Psu blew in my old Pentium 2 rig along time ago and the smell was very bad lol.
but it didnt take anything else with it so i just got it replaced.

Eh no smoke. I put it in another of my favvy oldy rigs:

Intel Pentium 4 [email protected]
PC100 448Mb RAM
80GB IDE
GeForce FX5200 (upgrade, removed fan as bearings were going out)
DVD Drive
52x Asus CD Rom.

Works fine. No burnt smell. Am using it to play songs right now

Oops forgot:

Have an POWORK working with an P25G w/ Intel P4 [email protected] HT
768Mb DDR333
DVD
CD

Works like an charm. I have an Lead Power on my E4300 and it works welltoo

Hmm... what does silicon smell like?

And is this safe all in one plug w/ 3 power centers:

3 rigs, 2x 600W PSU, 1x 450W, 2.1 w/ Subwoofer speakers, 1x 250W, 3x CRT, 1x LCD.
Speedstream DSL and Wireless Router.

Is that safe all in one plug?
