i downloaded a movie couple days ago, and it does not work, but when i try to delete it, i get a message that this file is being used by another program???
how can i delete it? can i delete it?

thx for help :D

yeah i dont really know the reason for getting that error, all i know is that if you restart and then try to delete it, it should work...

see what program it is automatically assigned to run through and make sure that the movie isnt qued in that program or activly running and you shouldnt have a problem deleting it

If restarting doesnt work, then for some reason a program uses that file once the computer starts up, try starting up in safe mode and deleting it. You get that message because if your watching it on WMP, and try to delete it, its being used, thats why it doesnt delete.

if you are use windows 2000.you can use taskmgr to shut it.then delete it.
if it is auto to run.you can check your autoexec.bat,win.ini,REGEDIT.maybe it is have a sentence in this files.

well if all else fails you could always........hm....kick your computer ?! lol

try making sure that the media player your using to watch this video is not running, or even running in the background, when you are trying to delete it

i downloaded it , and the problem is that explorer is using the file, so i cant `kill` the process....

any idea? anyone?

If you have XP try deleting it in Recovery console.

If it's an older windows say 95-ME then delete it in DOS
