I GOT COMCAST!!!!!!! I was wondering, what are the top ten things I should do now that I have Comcast?
 
Order a HD package with channels. I have middle only with Uverse. Remember if and like you will get free packages for 3mo's or 6mo's like HBO, Cinamax etc. Me I don't watch nothing but news. They will bill ya after that. Could call up and say drop it.
My suggestion if ya like and watch tv just buy a PPV once in a while or get Netflix. Comcast will go up, and up and up in price. Just like the rest of them. But then ya can call and bargain if ya have competition. They will bargain with free channels most likely. then ya get the bill. Avoid it if ya can. Other thing, ya have stars in your eyes. You can likely get along fine with the suggestions mentioned above unless money is endless and not a problem.
 
Nope not paying the bills, but I do have an "income" sort of, $25 a month for prostitu, uh, I mean, Mail Delivery! Okay okay just kidding, but seriously I mean online, I already have Netflix, any good games I can get cheap? I already have HL2 Deathmatch and Premium TF2.
 
Im not a gamer but with the netflix if i ordered i can watch on the cable box or and internet. thats one good way to save family money. Might want to check at comcast.com and see what else is available. Comcast is good. they just raised the prices until i didn't want to deal with.

Try steam. There having a sale atm.
 
yeah realy, i <3 steam sale, new games go to 66% off, it's like christmas in july, but their christmas sale is even better since that's when all the really good games are out :D, but truly, warn your dad of the real prices, we've got almost every channel but foreign languages and sports, and only 15mb/s internet, and our bill is about 200 a month with 1 dvr, and 3/4 regular boxes, maybe 2 but i don't think so.

We only have internet with comcast, we have dish television, and yes, he is aware of the increasing price.
 
well you need comcast tv, ondemand rocks, and the tv channels you gotta pay for rock, although netflix would be cheaper, idk why we haven't gotten it and dropped the movie channels.

Not really Comcast not only throttles ANY p2p application (legal or not) but they also hand your information off to any agency like the RIAA or MPA without any fight. In fact they are also in agreement once the laws are passed to monitor and report you themselves.

So much for Obama and his net neutrality huh.

I can't believe doing that is legal. It's a total breach of privacy.

Thank god we don't have Comcast in Canada. Although I've heard Telus here will send you e-mails if you do a ton of P2P downloading. Dunno Myself, always used Shaw for the faster speeds.
 
Another fourteen year old here? Thought I was the only one, anyways Comcast is pretty good IMO if you lay beside the fact that they can legally monitor P2P downloads and others as mention above. Personally I wish I had Comcast, but instead I am forced to subside with my 200kb/s connection with DSL.
 
yay, 3 14's :D, and my comcast pulls 20-30mb/s depending on when and how many else are on, with ~3mb/s upload, and that's threw a couple feet of concrete and brick from our fire place, but over 6 ft i think, and with xbox 360 plugged in and running normally
