THE COMP I BUILT TODAY WORKS! It's my first one and it worked right off the bat. I'm very happy cuz it's fast and now its time to game.

Just wanna thank you guys for your input and knowledge, and posting on the forums helps alot so keep up the good work!

Awesome dude. :)

After a build, IMO it's a good idea to run a system info prog like Everest, quickly run through all your components, see what they come up as, see that they are identified correctly, that sort of thing. Check everything in whatever sort of control panel menu you're using as well.

After that, you could run benchmarks for your cpu, video card, etc, make sure everything is running how it should. Also usually a good idea to check temps on things at least once to make sure you're good there. Stress testing is also another option, although personally I don't see a real need for it unless you're overclocking.

On the other hand, if it works it works. Not a big deal to ignore doing the stuff I mentioned if you're simply having no problems.

Have fun with your first build. :) I'm sure you'll never go back to OEM, that's the way it goes.
