It's here!! But I need help

Well, my new computer is here. So far I got the CPU in with my V8 and the RAM seated. I also put in the mobo into the case. What is my next step? Adding the disc drives?
 
Ok, I just got done putting everything in and it starts the fan starts I hear no beeps. hmm I have the ram set on the white dimms (rampage 2 extreme), sli gtx 260 c216s. It just doesn't have any display. So what's wrong? Is the onboard video still enabled..Is there even onboard video on the ASUS rampage 2 extreme?
 
....Now I feel like a school girl. I just changed the RAM to the blue dimms after looking in the manual.... hehe. I FREAKING GOT IT TO WORK!!! Truly when I first got all of the parts and saw everything it was SO over whelming but after collecting my cool and started to add the parts. OMG!!

Yea, well I also bought surround sound and a 22 inch monitor.

But could someone help me with the soundcard? For the time being I just dropped it in to the PCI expansion slot. Do I need to hook up other connectors to it? Oh I have the SupremeFX X-Fi with Logitech G51's.
 
i think you do if you want to hook it up to a 5.25 inch drive bay dealio, but thats only if you have something for it in the front bays
 
Hmm, you mean like to a DVD ROM? I followed the directions on the G51 and plugged in all the connectors to it. But it seems like it doesn't want produce sounds.
 
I must rag on myself now on a account of I am stupid.. How come everytime I have a problem, It's a SIMPLE little thing. Well, let me explain to you why I'm such a uber dumbie. Well, I was getting flustered and just decided to look at the connections, I disconnected all of them (to my soundcard) and look, to my suprise, THAT'S NOT GREEN? Oh no, it was white. Due to low light in my room, I could not see what true color it was. Oh heres the funny part. You know what I did? I switched them. And guess what came threw the speakers? SOUND!!! Thank you Capt. Obvious. gess
