Well ihave finally reached the point where i need a new gaming rig so i thought id jump on here and see if any of you guys could help :P
The budget is around £3000 and for that all i need is the base unit. I have the keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers and sound card. Also i would much prefer to buy pre-built right now as i dont have the time at the moment.
Thanks in advance :)

Man, my advice.

You have an amazing amount for a budget....please please please do not waste it on a pre-built system.

Get someone to help you, build it for you whatever but you can have a super superior machine if you dont rush and buy shit from a store.

Id be happy to build it myself its just the time restraints that worry me. I guess if i could get a serious advantage over pre-built then it would be something i could look into.

Okay so order the parts...that wont take too much time...

wait they arrive...

..dedicate 1 hour to building...

..dedicate 1.5 hour to install os, drivers, software, updates...blah blah..

and you will be much better off..

please dont buy pre-built with a sweet budget like that...you will kick yourself after.

You will absolutely, hands-down, build a better machine than if you bought one.

no question....sorry to be so pushy..lol

lol, ok! So assuming i build it which way should i go? Also forgot to mention i want to stick to intel & nvidia :P

Its going to be a gaming rig, doesnt need to look spectacular or anything (although it wouldnt hurt :P) But i am looking for the best performance i can get for my money!

with that budget, you could probably even get intel solid state drives, i would say tri sli with a q9550 on a 790i ftw motherboard from evga, 3 gtx 280's, let someone else suggest a psu, i've heard the corsair 1000hx is good, but i don't own it, so i can't say, and as for a case get a tj07, if you like it that is, and as for ddr3 ram, you're in europe, try and get cellshock ram, it isn't the cheapest, but you pay for performance
