iTunes 7 Messed Up

Surely it can't be as bad as ceasing iPods to function? Anyone else heard any news on this? Or is this Yahoo over exaggerating? I've just reformatted and, after having read that, I feel reluctant to install it now to manage my iPod. I know it's an old news post on the Yahoo website, so does anyone know if these problems have been resolved yet?

It's not an exaggeration, some people have iTunes 7 work nearly flawlessly and others had no end of problems. Apple has a patch released to fix most of the issues with the initial release of 7.

So I should be ok to use it with my iPod then? It can't exactly cause any permanent damage to an iPod if it does "mess up" can it?

I have Itunes 7, and use it to update 5 ipods with no problems
