iTunes Help

Ok so here is my situation...
I live in a house with a couple people. We high speed internet that comes in downstairs and is distributed to a LAN jack in each room. In one room we have a vonage (wireless) router pluged into the wall and it serves to provide wireless to the house. So the wireless is a subnet of the wired network. So in my room I have my desktop that I built this summer (with a lot of help from people here thanks) and I want to be able to see my itunes library from that machine (pluged into the lan jack in the wall) on my laptop (obviously running off of the wireless vonage router). How do I make it so I can share itunes (or even folders so I could watch videos stored on my desktop) from the wired to the wireless network.

Thanks in advance
Chris

I know people on the same network can view and listen to other peoples music, as long as they have this application allowed. Make sure both computers have file sharing allowed. This is completely legal, my friends and I did it freshman year in college through the dorms network.

yea I had it in my dorm 2 years ago in first year university but i didn't have to set it up it was pre-existing so now i'm trying to get it to work in my house and everything is allowed on both machines but i didn't know if they had to be in a workgroup or anything like that because i can't see my other library

No work group is not required. No special prep work is needed to listen to share music. Both computers have to have iTunes running, even if the library is minimized. Are you doing this?

yea i was just updating itunes on my desktop and it says the installer is for 32 bit xp or 32 or 64 bit vista.... why don't they have it for 64 bit xp (which is what i have) when i run the installer it starts by telling me that the installer is supposed to be for 32 bit....

I heard bad things about 64bit XP, maybe this can be added to the list. Sorry, I cannot help you.

so both itunes are running ... same version... both have sharing turned on but on my laptop it says no users are connected. I just had another laptop with itunes open and i can see that but not the desktop plugged into the lan so there is some trick somewhere
