Itunes: my iPod synchs "other" file types

When I synch my iPod in iTunes, i see the little capacity-display-thinger at the bottom of the screen...you know where the blue is audio files and the purple is video files? well theres almost 4 gigs of orange, "other"?? What the hell is that? I was planning a restore of the iPod and expecting that to get rid of it. But until I'm able to do that (i'm about to leave the door for work and I need my pod for survival)...what on earth are the "other" files? is there a way to find out? I could be putting more useful data on there.....
 
haha welcome sllab02 you are not far away and might i start by saying CHIEF lol on to business.... Ensure you have all your files backed up and totally reformat and start from scratch on that ipod. It probably has a bunch of crap on there you dont need. After you redo it simply sync it back up and see if it happens again.
