itunes windows network mess

I need to have one folder on my winxp desktop available on two other computers on the network. I can't find how to share a folder over my home wifi (Belkin router) and the other computers. I tried the wizard to make a home network(which is what i want to do) but the router has no USB ports and that's the only way the wizard will set it up. The router currently uses mac address filtering and i would like to continue using that, and the modem is separate. The 3 computers i need on the network are- the one winxp desktop, and two laptops (one xp and one vista), those are the only computers on the wifi although a lot of other devices connect i don't care whether or not they have access.

The only reason i want this network is so i can have a central iTunes folder on the desktop that the laptops also use, so any ipod/iphone can be synced with any computer. I can set all of the iTunes up i just need the network to do it with.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hm yeh I'm kinda in the same position as you, my syncs are all on my mac mini which I don't use anymore, and I have nae clue how to transfer it to my windows computer. Although I do have a nas drive, which may be something that could be usefull in what u want to do

yeah all my computers are windows which makes it a lot easier to do this, it would be a lot more difficult with a mac in the mix

i figured it all out but i have no clue how that works with a mac im sure the ituned folder is different and you wouldn't just be able to copy it like i did

To share files into a network from windows XP is easy.
Just right click in the target file and choice "share"...
No use the wizard, just choice "Just share my files" or something similiar choice. Im no remeber exactly.
And make sure ALL computer belonge in same net group.
If one computer report HOME group and one another WORKGROUP maybe no be able to see each other.
Must all have same group name. Eg : PC-hello, PC-Jhon, PC-Julia, must belonge EXACTLY in same group name eg: workgroups

To work this, the folders with files, must be on root of your hard disk placed. Eg : C:\
If there in your personal account folder "My documents". Maybe you have enable private encrypt security, that no allow to share this files in the network.

From windows vista and 7 is more hard to make share files, because you must disable many security protocolls, so systems with windows XP, can access its.
Windows vista and 7 other users can access, but before will ask for a password the "share" vista - 7 computer. Windows XP machine just will report... "cannot access file..."
If you find troubles open command prompt.
And find the target computer and the "server" computer and try "ping"
eg: Your computer is ip 192.168.1.34 =>
in cmd -->
ping 192.168.1.34
most of cases will see a message "success" or "all packet transmit"
then find the ip of target computer.
Target computer IP 192.168.1.39
ping 192.168.1.39
If say packet lost or fail, Check for firewall settings, to allow folders and printers share...
If you see "success" all packets, then each computer can see, each other...
To find command window prompt
go Search in from start menu and write: cmd
Or go Task Manager and from file menu choice New Task (Run...) and put "cmd" without the quottas.

thanks for the help but i figured out the problem, Norton 360 blocks windows file sharing by default and doesn't tell you when it is blocking
