I've got no PCMIC slot !

My laptop PB L4014 has a blank plate where you would normally find a pcmic slot. I removed the plate but there is just a void inside, no slot or connections.
If I take my laptop to a pc builder would they be able to add a slot so I can add a firewire card to capture DV from a digital camcorder?

This is a laptop? In most laptops theres a little plastic thing that goes into the PCMCI port (there tend to be 2 slots on many laptops), just take the plastic piece out by pushing the little button to pop it out, then just slide in the card. I can't believe it doesn't have any slots.

The regular macbooks don't.
Thats one thing I don't like about mine.

Your missing out, its always good to be fluent in multiple languages or in this case OS.

Its a good little laptop, still nice to hop on my pc though.

I agree, just never got the opportunity to learn about macs, or their OS.
