Japanese Games on US PC

Hello,
I have a US dell dem 3k. and have a few Japanese PC games. But cant seem to play them. I did switch the reigion and lang to japanese, but still doesnt play. Does anyone know if I need a japanese PC to play them?

It should stop you from playing Japanese games. What are the errors that come up? As far as I know you can load up any software that is designed for windows no matter what language it is, all you need is the language pack so the characters don't come up as boxes and gibrish.
