Just a quick question about LCD monitors..

Okay totally different question (that one was just out of curiosity).
These two monitors are the same price and have the same specs. One has free 3 day shipping and the other is 13$ for the shipping making it $183.47 over $169.99 for the other. BUT the expensive one has lower power consumption, better viewing angle, and anti-glare coating. I bought the more expensive one and I just wanta know, was it worth the money?

I've just been doing some quick searching on this, and I've found that Samsung implemented a zero-dead-pixel policy in January of 2005. That if you found a single dead pixel in a limited amount of time, you would get your screen repaired.
Unfortunately everything I've found related to that was from 2005, so I don't know if the policy still applies, and when I went to samsung.com there was a flash video blocking most relevant menus that I couldn't make go away.
In a nutshell, not sure if there is.

I am pretty sure the lower power consumption will make up for that :::HUGE::: 13 dollar price difference... 
If not, then just work two hours overtime at Burger King, and WHAMO, back to even!
Plus, who wants glare? Then you have to buy a $13 dollar curtain to hang over the window to stop the glare....

i really don't think that any monitor company would have a no dead pixel guarantee.
heck, if you think about it, 1 or 2 dead/stuck pixels out of a million pixels isn't that bad when it comes to percentages. also, sometimes they can be fixed by 'massaging' the pixel
on a side note...

also a hanns-g. had it for a few weeks now and theres no dead/stuck pixels that i have noticed yet. only 2ms response time which is perfect for gaming. it's not a wide screen, but wide screen isn't all that special either. you gain a bit of width, but you loose height. you'd need a 22" wide screen to have a monitor as tall as a standard 19".

Okay, another question. My CRT monitor is 13 inches across and is at 1024/768 resolution. If I put the LCD I bought (1440/900) and my CRT in dual setup, would I notice anything weird going on with the different resolutions? And if I did, would it be better to get a monitor that runs 1280/1024 and put my LCD on that?

Are you looking to expand your desktop to another monitor? or use two monitors to do two different things?
yes, you probably would notice the difference.
currently i have my 19" LCD and my 17" crt together in duel setup.
if i put a window so its halfway on both monitors, the difference in them is obvious. the crt looks dim, faded and blurry compared to the lcd.
as for the resolutions, it'd be easier if windows etc could be about the same size on both monitors. with my 19" lcd at 1280x1024, i have my 17" crt set at 1152x864 which makes windows about the same size on each monitor.
overall, its best to have 2 of the same monitor in a duel setup. that way they will have the same brightness, contrast, etc so your eyes wont have to constantly adjust when you look back and forth between the monitors.
