Since I got fed up with the slow speed, would Windows 2000 Advanced server is a good choice? Remember, I can tweak it up for better performances on games
 
Any server OS is going to be loaded with stuff that the average person doesn't need, and will only slow you down in a machine that your wanting to do gaming on.

If you need some of the server apps, I've got a machine running 2000 Advanced Server and have had good luck with it.

Ok so you've got W2k3 Enterprise, W2K, WXP and W2KAS at your disposal .... why not just use W2K3 Enterprise? With some tweaking its pretty damn sweet
