Question is, should I get the extended warranty? It's 189 for 2 years, and I forgot to ask about the 3 year. Probably something like 239.
 
I would. I have a lot of HP and Compaq laptops that come into the shop for repair and the warranty ended about a month before.

usually with every laptop or computer you buy it comes with at the minimum of a years warranty, try going to where you got it from and ask them if you can put exta warranty on your laptop and hopefully they should accept it.:)
 
Most of the time its not worth it, but ive had both my hp and my compaq also fail on me, and it was so great my compaq literally failed the day AFTER it was out of warranty... after being on the phone for 3 hrs they finally agreed to replace hdd. And my hp's battery failed about a month out of warranty>_<
