Just bought me a new Geforce 5200, and not happy, any ideas?

I would take the 5700LE over a 9250, its slightly faster, cheaper, and they have the same number of pixel pipe

is this a POS, and ya think I will be able to play games with only 128megs of vid memory?...also think I can run doom 3 with this?..I know not at high but atleast play it?
1. Memory count means almost nothing herew
2. Your problem will be the PCI bus (or anything short of AGP4X). For reference sake, PCI = 133MB/s, AGOP4X = 1GB/s and the PCI bus is spread over numerous devices

I would not say so, IMO, the 5700LE is the best of the FX series....
You've got a very limited opinion then. The 5700U is the best of the budget for scalability, the 5900XT for modability and the 5700 for performance/cost balance.

In the PCI lineup that is.
Heheh I see you picked up on that missing detail :P

Well that's what he needs......so that's what I was talking about
Again, what I was saying about tactial ambiguity :P

price is doesnt matter...
Get an AGP board and something like a 9600Pro

Ok I'm the official downer.
Welcome to reality

ok, I have been doing some research...and on newegg all the reviews that I read on certain pci cards say they are great....so I dunno who to belive you guys or the reviews...
.
1. I dont think we'll cry if you dont believe us.
2. Newegg tells you not to base yer spending on the reviews
3. Newegg is stupid (for other reasons tho but it doesnt change that)

"It skips every second and is very very irritating because I just paid 120 dollars for this and not seeing"
that is just rediculous
What what might this be

Agreed :).

Seriously now If money is no object then I would replace your motherboard with one that has an AGP slot but If i where to purchase a new mobo today I suppose I'd purchase one with a PCI-E slot. You want to run games on a machine that "barely" has what it takes. If you want to play these games you might as well enjoy em.

just a question, did you install the latest drivers for the 5200 or did you just use the drivers that came with the installation software?

Curious what you mean by that Praetor???
NewEgg shouldnt be used as a technical resource because they have a tendency to get facts wrong. Perhaps I was being a bit overzealous but NewEgg is far from being remotely qualified to do reviews of any kind.
