Just bought this Motherboard/CPU Combo, can someone tell me if its good? Thanks!

Hello All!

I just bought this combo on newegg for $182.31 USD including tax and shipping. Can someone tell me if its a good deal?

I bought them mainly for gaming, so hopefully they are good with it. Also, I have some additional questions. Which RAM is better for gaming for this motherboard? The DDR2 1066 or the DDR2 800? And who knows where I can get them cheaper than Newegg? Also what does: "*Due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only." mean? Anything else I have to watch out for??

good setup!

i would go with ddr2 800mhz, good quality ram!

not that much of a difference in the 800 and the 1066, i have had my 1066mhz ram running at 800mhz for a while until i realised i had to change settings in bios to get it up to 1066mhz.

and i noticed no difference at all

At 1066 the Phenom only supports 2 sticks, one in each channel. If you install 4 sticks it will kick it back to 800.

so I guess its impossible to install 8 gigs of 1066 on this motherboard then. Cuz there is not a single 4 gig 1066 huh?
 
oh yah, can anyone also please recommend some good ram for gaming that I should buy for this motherboard? Thanks!
