darn it
theres an problem that is totally bugging me!
i always get those laggs, and when listening to music the music shakes a few times.
also i have the mega bytes anti maleware or something and avg free edtitin
mabey the 2 vierus protections are causign trubles?
 
If you have vista (No clue if this works with XP) do this "Control Panel\System and Maintenance\System"
 
i had vista and there was sound lag whenever i run flash applications. i dont have it now. maybe that could be your problem
 
Humm, I have a windows vista terminal and it has 1gb of system ram. But I don't seem to have any memory problems while running multiple applications. Even though Vista requires 1 GB of system memory. On my other two terminals I run XP Pro which requires at least 64MB of RAM (128MB is recommended) and they run flawlessly. If you have an install for Win XP, you may try installing it and see how it runs. If you have the same problem, then it must be a hardware issue. Possibly a sound card driver problem. *Shrugs*
 
It could be a number of things really, you could have processes running in the background causing it. Did it do this before? Also, you don't need to virus programs, one that's always updated should work fine.
 
You probably just have too much junk running in the background. Type in "msconfig" w/o the "" on start > run, then go to startup tab and start deleting programs that you don't need to start up when your computer starts up.
