And it seems that there is a lot of bloat ware. Also there are 76 processes running and im not sure which I can disable. I went to msconfig but I dont trust myself. Is there a program or something I can run in order to maximize my performance by deleting and stopping all unnecessary programs? hijackthis?

Make a list of items in msconfig startup tab and we can tell you what to disable/uninstall. You might want to go into add/remove programs and uninstall anything that you won't be using, that will actually reduce the number of items to start off with.

You can use Hijackthis to list all installed software on your computer and then run that list here as the one above said.

I don't know of a program to do such a thing for you, so you would have to do it this way.

See where the programs are starting from and decide whether they are relevant. That Adobe one there is a quick loader for .pdf stuff. I generally disable it.

EDIT: go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall everything you don't use.

What I would do and I have done this on a few friend's new computers....re load Windows as soon as you get it.

That way you have a fresh start and not any unwanted crap ware on it:D

I would not even try and get the dozens of junk programs off;)

I would, and if i failed, then i would wipe it and reinstall. It's always funny to see windows have a BSOD because you did something. :D:eek:
