So I read this article about a trial of windows server 2008 while on the seaside. It's a 240-days trial and if you do some setup, you can make it look just like vista and work better. It also "sees" the whole memory on 32-bit. And it's almost free. I think I'm going to try it. What do you think? It also comes clean and lets you install which features you want.
Post here if you want to know how to do the post-install stuff and make it good for your desktop
EDIT: It's all legal.
EDIT2: If you need more time to evaluate Windows Server 2008, the 60 day evaluation period may be reset (or re-armed) three times, extending the original 60 day evaluation period by up to 180 days for a total possible evaluation time of 240 days. After this time, you will need to uninstall the software or upgrade to a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008.
