Hey guys, so, do you actually need windows vista to use 8 series cards or it is just better because you can use them with dx10??? because you need vista for dx10 right?? just making sure, In other words i'd like a 8800gts running on xp, would it work??

It would work, but you need vista for dx10.

Allows Dx10 to be used on Xp. You still need a Dx10 capable card but no longer need Vista.

They're are also cracks that allow DX10 games to be played in Dx9 mode. Tried it with Halo 2, works well.
