Looks like a really sweet system... unless it's for gaming.

Becaue the 7300 (especially the LE), is a horrible gaming card.

not for gaming bud ! just wanted a fast home pc for browsing net, some office work, downloading and burning a few cd/dvd's now and again.
so it looks a decent system for this purpose then ?

ofcourse he did.. ;) and yea.. that pc will be great for everything, except gaming, and making huge CAD drawings (etc) ^^

as a matter of interest, you guys say its not a good system for gaming, is this soley due to the graohics card ? if it is what graohics card upgrade would you suggest to make the system a good gaming pc ?

Prepare for the worst with that motherboard.

And I really hate it when people ask for opinions after the fact. They should just be truthful and say "I'm bragging. Flower me with accolades" lol. If our opinion was so important they'd ask *before* they bought it. Then they'd know things like MSI making crappy mainboards.

I also noticed the lack of brand on the memory and HDD. I wonder why that is? I hope you didn't use cheap, crappy RAM. That would be a mistake.

i have been told the MSI board is pretty good, i was going for the asus p5l-mx but decided on the MSI instead because i have been told it is an excellent boead for overclocking !
the ram is samsung and the hard drive is samsung also

Samsung makes ok RAM, but it is pretty much bottom end on the RAM scale and not the best performer in the world. It ranks somewhere around Kingston. I've sold a fair bit of Samsung.

Samsung makes a really good drive. The Spinpoint T is excellent.

I was an MSI dealer for quite a while and they are nothing but shit. I had a 30% RMA rate on those pieces of garbage. I lost more money than I made on them. I'm so fed up with them the next time I see one I'm going to run over it with the car. Unreliable pieces of crap. Gahhh.

If you're looking for a mix of reliability and performance, ditch the videocard, motherboard and RAM. Pick up one of the 79xx series VGAs, something from Crucial, Corsair or OCZ for RAM and an Asus or Gigabyte mainboard.

i totally agree... it makes me hate having to wait for my C2D monster...

MSI P965 Neo-F is NOT a good overclocking motherboard. Whoever told you that, i have to say, is an idiot. However, aside from that, its great.:D
