im gna cut 2 the chase as i am in the middle of trying 2 watch a film!i recived my computer back off our new naigbour who did fix a few problems with it..... it was running vists but downgraded 2 xp or otherway round lol??? but before he fixed it we could plug the lead from the moniter and watch fil,ms on the tv........BUT NOW WHEN I PLUG IT IN IT COMES UP WITH A MESSAGE SAYING MODE NOT SUPPORTED...?????? WOULD BE A GREAT HELP AS THE MISSES IS MOANING

Thanks but that has just confused me evem more!!!! If it does help i do know he changed the port drive that the moniter lead plugs into at the back of the tower? He done that becouse he touched sumin and it blow the old one.... So replaced that .... Could it be he hasnt installed it properly. Honestly my skills goes as turning on, ebay, few websites and photos... I dont have a clue basically
 
i think the problem here is the resolution is out of range for the monitor, press f8 while booting to get into safe mode, drag it to the 800x600, then boot normally, then drag it to the screen resolution that your computer monitor supports.
