sure, if the problem is my computer or the site...(and i did do a search)
I am trying to log into a site....and it take a Really long or just tell's me "The server is too busy try again later" i disconnect everything and that still doesnt help.....I can get on to other sites super fast with out any problem...
and when i do get on the site, it doesnt last long and i get drop again....Now i have been watching the site and other people seem to be getting on with no problems....this has been going on for two days now, also when i do get on, I told see any thread about this problem......people seen to be logging on with no problem.....I have try to log on at 3am, just to make sure there wasnt...too many people on....but still nothing...........Thanks for any info

Well your location may have a lot to do with it! If in the same relative area as the actual server access for those in that area is swift since they are most likely on the same ISP's main exchange or can see an immediate connection. There are sites where you can't open a link on a page easily gotten to while someone else can simply open any.

Why? The actual location is outside of the domestic domain of the servers. Another explaination would be your security settings on the browser you use. For Internet Explorer 7 Microsoft's latest version of IE for XP and Vista mainly the defaults are higher then seen on IE 6 which asw many loop holes and vulnerabilities there.

If this is a forum site you are trying to log on to, you might have pissed off the admin and he is using a program to mess with you. It's an annoyance program that makes you try to load the page many times before it will let you on.

If this is not a forum site, it might just be ping times from your server to the one you are trying to get on. Get the ip and do a ping on it to see what your times are and how many hops you have to make to get to it.

I think you're right...........Yes it's a "Forum" and i seem to have piss off some of the older members.....And it is like a "Click" if you are New and someone said something to you (personal) nothing is done. But if the newie trys it "Forget" they ban both of the people that were involved......and another thing thats "Odd" i did email the person in charge of the site, a few times and i havent gotten any type of reply..........but before i jump the gun.....I will go next door, and see if i can log in on other computer.....I will just join and see what happens..........thanks "Paratwa" and "PC eye" for your replys.....:cool:
 
I just got a email from the admin....telling me that nobody else seem to have a problem in my region....And that i might have a connection or virus in my computer......I wrote back telling them...that this is the first time i heard of a "One site Virus" only hitting one computer... out of a crapload out there....heh heh, One virus decided to just hit one computer and keep it from loading...??? sound kinda of funny to me.....have any of you guys ever heard of that?? a one site virus...heh, heh....

The thing that might be hampering your efforts to log onto that specific site may be simply your securoty settings for IE like warnings about sites, blocking images from downloading, etc..What browser are you using? IE 7 has a new antiphishing filter that will block some sites by it's nature. I found that helpful when running web searches to avoid crap sites that instantly copy trojans onto your system.
 
I am just running the regular IE on my desktop.....i have IE7 on the laptop.....i drop the security level on both just to make sure....and i still can't get on that one site, i am not having any trouble with any other sites at all......It really isnt that big of deal to me, but it does tick me off.....If that forum put my ip on list, to give me that much trouble, just cause i dare to question the "Click" (oldtimers)........hell ban me and tell me about it....instead of running some kind of program to mess with me.........thanks again

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the site in question there but something on your end simply preventing you from connecting to that site's domain. This is why I suggested looking over the security settings and possibly any firewall you have running or any other IE protection.
 
I have done everything short of leaving my computer wide open, and i still cant get on that "One" site.....i don't know what to do, unless the site admin is just messing with me now.....i have talk to other around me, and nobody but me is having trouble logging on....i do log on after 10min or so and then if i do anything else....i knock off saying server is too busy at this time......i will try going to another computer and get on and then try to log on with my pass word and see what happen then......more then likely nothing......trust me i have taken any firewalls off, and both my decktop and laptop arent running the same systems or firewalls...the only thing they have in common is the ip at the house........
 
Just something else to add.....when on another computer and when to view the site, everything went well....so i went ahead and went to log on with my user name and password....the site knock me off like before.....so i guess i really did tick off the admin and they dont want to man up and say it....
 
The admin for the Unreal tournament clan I belong to uses that annoyance program all the time on people that irritate him. Not bothering us enough to actually kick and ban, but enough to mess with him hoping he will just go away. And then he posts the responses from the emails he sends to the admin for us all to laugh at in the members only section of the forum.

That might be what is happening to you.

The clan I belong to almost never actually bans anyone, we just don't like doing it. But messing with someone? Thats another thing.
 
I really hope that isnt what is happening, because i been on there for awhile now. I do bump heads with some of the older members, but that happens in most forum. I also have a few members already emailing me, and asking me what is going on with me....(because i havent been on) i told them that i havent been able to get on....and everyone is telling to try one thing or another....but nothing works and i really hate to say that the "Admin" is doing this yet.....i will send the forum other email, and will try a couple of more computer before....i send out emails......i would rather be ban for life, then have someone play this stupid game....thanks again for all your help
 
well i just knock everything off again, and took off all the history of the "Site" i am trying to get in........as a guest i get on "Fast" and can read everything, and never once got the " Server is too busy at this time" messge....but the moment i type in my Id and password....forget it gets slow again and after awhile it log me on, but when i try to look at anything....I get "Server is too busy" messge.....i went back and did this a few times, and it happen every time.......I send the "Admin" a email and hopefully he can be up front with me........so now after all this, do some of you still think its coming from my end....and have any of you heard of this before...thanks again for any replys....
