would it be smart to buy a 780i now? or wait for like the p45 x48 chip sets:confused:

i don't plan on paying for ddr3 so ddr2 will do, will these new chip sets even support ddr2?
 
I wouldn't touch the 780i chipset at the moment, I have a 680i chipset with on the Asus striker extreme motherboard. 780i chipset boards are so expensive.
