Thinking about building a workstation in my future, I dont know much about Xeon's so will this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115088 CPU work with just a regular LGA1155 mobo? or do you have to have a specific mobo or specific parts or can you build it in a regular system?

well there is a server section on newegg which i believe is what workstations use and no 1155's in there from what i remember, but if there are i think you can still just use a reg board, also the amd bulldozers have a patch coming and they look promising especially when the server version goes to 16 cores.

I was looking at Gigabyte's website with their Socket 1155 processors. None of the motherboards I looked at had the Intel Xeon E3-1225 Processor in the Processor Compatibility list. Can anyone help this guy out?

I just looked at Intel's site... it says that you can only use a server board. Why? what's the difference?

EDIT: Just read a few articles... seems as if it will work with the H67 boards and the 1155 boards....
