Just wondering but between pentium celeron, pentium 4 and amd 3000+ and up which of these are best for a non gamer?:D

There is no Pentium Celeron
Pentium 4 is better.
Celeron is a low budget CPU.
AMD Athlon64 3000+ is better than Celeron and better than most of Pentium 4 CPU.
but not all
if you want to compare it to a specific CPU say it here.
for a non gamer anything will do fine.
but that depends on the other things you do.

outof those 3, definately reccoemnd celeron.

runs great and beats out my friends p4 (he has 1.3ghz p4 i have 3ghz celeron)

erm... right.. you dont think the 4year difference in age would have anything to do with that? the Celeron's are stripped down versions of the Pentiums (basicly) so the pentiums are the better ones :)

Which Pentium 4? Which Celeron?(and speeds) Which Athlon 3000? Athlon XP or Athlon 64?

Yeah, Celerons are basically just stripped down Pentium 4's, but you can't compare say a Pentium 4 1.6GHz(as in the original) to a current Celeron D at...well...any speed :P Of course, as Archangel said, totally different processor eras. Try comparing a current Celeron D to a Core 2 Duo... Or even a newer Pentium 4.
