K7SEM V1.0 - ECS Elitegroup - is it good?

ECS is usally crap. And no, that's not a good deal. I just skimmed over Newegg and found a MSI motherboard(Socket AM2) and a retail Athlon 64 3500 for 150. Of course you could drop the processor down a bit and get to $120 if you wanted.

I don't know anything about motherboard, I was just looking to get used motherboard+cpu for around 100-150$ and I'm in toronto.

Well.. From my experience ECS is infinitely more reliable than MSI. I've used many many ECS boards in commercial applications, along with Intel boards, and they are all still going.

They're no performance hot rods or anything, but they work. I do NOT suggest coupling them with AMD though. You will get nothing but headaches. AMD has a recommended board list for a reason. I realize that some ECS boards might be on there, but in my experience you couple ECS with AMD and you get nothing but headaches. Of course you couple MSI with ANYTHING and you get nothing but headaches.. . :evil grin:
