Hi , First of all im new here and im always willing to help where i can. Im not the brightest light bulb but not the dullest bulb either. so hi guys , maybe you can help me with this problem. As im sure most of you know , messing with computers over a period of time you end up the computer graveyard. Well thats me , and the wife is on my case. So i decided to build a pc from all the bits and bobs ive aquired.

Found this Soltek board with amd 64 proceser , dig a pretty cool icute box out a 400w psu, DVD RW , and a 120 gig HDD , 2 512ddr 400s and a nvidia 5500 with 128meg onboard. Threw it all together plugged it in nothing on screen no bios 0

Checked the cpu was seated correct as it was on the board when i started and found it loose reseated it booted back up yay working ,,, After a good few bsods and some changes in bios i managed to get xp up and running and stable. Was very happy with myself then i came across a slightly better monitor so i changed the monitor turned on the PC , device manager found new monitor drivers i restarted again nothing on screen no bios black screen have been trying ever since to get something on screen reverted back to other monitor reseated ram checked cpu unplugged hdd everything i can think of short of stamping on it ,,,, when i turn it on the monitors wake up then go back to sleep like theres no signal

ok quick update , ive tried 4 diff graphic cards to no avail still cant get anything on the screen but while i was digging for the cards ive found 2 mobos 1 is a soltek k7vza again no onboard graphics , the other is a EP-8RGMI that has 2 vga plug ins built in lol , both boards are socket 462 and i think the amd athlom cpu will fit , ill try the ep-8rgmi first
