kaspersky and outlook 2003 clash

I cannot seem to get outlook2003 and kaspersky to run smoothly together. Outlook keeps crashing and so does kaspersky. I also get kaspersky getting stuck on a scan at 99%.
All the problems have occurred after trying to make these two programs work together

What error messages are you getting if any? Do you have any other virus software installed?

I'd install a different virus software if i was you. The kaspersky source code (or most of it) was leaked at the beginning of the year, so it's not really safe to use.

Don't really get any error messages apart from application hang messages. I have tried to update outlook 2003. What other free program is out there that is popular for multiple email accounts

I have kaspersky and i have had no problems with it at all.

I think my issue may lie in fact that my email filter settings are too high in Kaspersky

Uinstall both, reinstall outlook and then install avg

I bought Kaspersky internet security for 5 computers. Have outlook on 4 computers and never had a problem.
