Kaspersky Installation

I am trying to install Kaspersky and I thought I had removed all my previous virus programs. For some reason I cannot remove the balance of the "AVG" program and the Kaspersky program keeps telling me to take it out. Where else could it be that I don't see it??

If you did a clean un-install using Control Panel in windows, I would recommend finding the program files that AVG is under and deleting them.
 
On the other hand.
remove as normal. goto explorer and delete the directory.
AVG or Grisoft directory.

goto start, run, type in %appdata% and delete all occurrences
of AVG.

reboot then install.
 
you need to delete the registries, go start, run, regedit, local machine, software find avg and delete anything related, this is the best way to completely wipe an uninstalled program.

Hit Winkey+R(winkey= the key with windows logo on it, and while holding that hit R), type in regedit. Go to the following keys, right click on them, and delete them:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AVG8Uninstall
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AVG\Avg8

Or if you are running 64bit windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AVG8Uninstall
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\AVG\Avg8
