I just wanted to ask a simple question.

I have kaspersky antivirus 2011. Now that edition 2012 is out does this mean I have to update? Basically what I'm trying to ask is that does support for 2011 stop?

I bought a 5 yr subscription for 5 computers. Ive always been able to update all computers. I have Kaspersky Internet Security.

I only have a one year subscription. I take it that means that when the year is up, I just stop getting updates and general use of the program?

Yes. You will just get the updates for the valid subscription you might have missed during that time.

ok so i need to purchase security software for 5 systems, kaspersky preferably, in this case can you tell me where to buy from? Since you have already bought the software?

You don't have to buy for 5 computers. I have 5 computers in the house. Good for 5 yrs. you could get 1 computer for two yrs etc. I prefer Internet Security for choice. There is plenty of free also still working well like Avast. Also you can give a key away to a family or friend. They can use it. your choice.

For the record.
I found it interesting i can use the key on all computers in the house and still give away 4 keys to someone else. They never said nothing. This is the 2nd subscription. One for 3 yrs and this one 5 yrs.
