Keep 32b or go 64b?

My laptop has a T2330 intel cpu,64bit capable.But my laptop's ram hold 2GB max .Should I just get 2gb ram and keep my 32b or get the ram and 64b?

If the max ram the laptop can hold is 2gb then get 32 bit. However, if you plan on getting a pc or laptop later on and you are buying the retail version then get 64bit so you can install more than 4gb of memory in your new machine. OEM installs can't be transferred to a new machine where the full retail version can

If we are talking about windows 7, then the retail version should have both versions.

I thought only Ultimate came with both?

Either way, for that particular machine I'd use 32 bit. No point in going 64 unless you have 4 or more gb of ram.

Nah. Unless the versions at Best Buy are special. Every version had both disks.
